COMBAT SPORTS CENTER Welcomes to Richmond BJJ Blackbelt and UFC Vet Junior Assuncao Dear CSC Students and Fans, Combat Sports Center is pleased to announce that Junior "The Punisher" Assuncao will be joining the team of instructors and fighters at its Richmond, Virginia location!  Join us on Monday April 20th for class and meet Junior as CSC's new Program Director and Head Instructor of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and No Gi Grappling program. Junior will be a great asset to the already successful team of fighters currently at Combat Sports Center. Originally from Recifein Northeastern Brazil, and having 12 years under Mestre Delei and more recently mentored by Roberto Traven, Junior blends a diverse mixture of martial arts: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing, Wrestling, and Capoeria.      Junior's accomplishments include: Professional MMA record of 8-4-0. Multiple appearance.s in the UFC. #1 lightweight contender in the American Fight League. Blackbelt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Capoeria Coach to over 10 Pro and Amateur fighters out of his Atlanta gym. The Center is located in the Rt. 7 Business Park, 9321 Philadelphia Road, Unit G, Baltimore, MD 21237 On Thursday April 30th, CSC - Richmond will have Muay Thai testing for all levels at 6:00 pm. There will be no regular Muay Thai class. Please check with MT instructor Bertina Lee or Kru Brian for eligibility for testing. CSC 27 Richmond's longest running fight show featuring top level amateur Muay Thai and MMA fighters from the area will be held on Saturday May 16th at the Sheraton West. Tickets are available online at Combat Sports Challenge or at the Combat Sports Center - Richmond.  Premier seating for this event will be limited, but reserved to ensure everyone a good vantage point, so be sure to get your tickets as soon as possible!  Limited to no seating will be available the night of the show, so don't wait until the event to get your tickets.  Fans will not only see the best MMA and Muay Thai match-ups in Richmond, but will also be treated to a full cash bar, upscale concessions, and in-venue after-fight party at Shula's 2 Restaurant.
